Day 7
Today is day seven. I talked to Rob The Builder this morning and he said the foundation digging is all done. He then said that Snort already dug the septic hole and that the septic tank has been placed and was being covered back up already. When I talked to Snort yesterday he didn't even know whether or not he'd be digging the septic hole. I guess things happen quickly sometimes.
I stopped at the land and saw tri-axle dump trucks bringing in load after load of gravel and putting it down in the foundation hole with the assistance of Snort and a skid-steer. Rumor has it that Snort had to dig the foundation an extra foot deep and then fill in with gravel so Plunger would have a place to run his pipes under the basement floor.
I also talked to Snort and mentioned to him that if he has extra rock left over from the digging, he could level an area off with it for a future shed. I'm not sure what size of shed I'll be putting up, but it could only help me to have a level space.
I very soon need to pick out siding, roofing, brick, front door style, and flooring. I need to go to a couple different places to pick these out though. Siding, roofing and front door come from lumber yard, flooring from flooring place, and brick from brickyard. Guess I'll be putting on a few miles in the next few days.
