Little things
Saturday brought the installation of the kitchen/dining/front-entry lights. Saturday afternoon was Anna's 9th birthday party. Whodathunk she'd be nine already?
Barry finished all the painting. He really does good work.
BrotherJoe came down on Sunday. We hooked up the phone line from the outside box to the junction block in the basement. We now have a phone!
After hooking up the phone line, BrotherJoe and I spent many hours reworking the big garage door installation. For any of you thinking of having a carpenter install a garage door, don't. Don't. Do. It. The garage door opener now works on the big door too so I no longer have to get out to manually run the door. The little door has worked for a week or so now. Why is it that Sribley's work always gets done before mine? She must be special!
Then we went on to hooking up the tv antenna. Good thing I have a large attic above the garage as the antenna takes up most of the space. It really helped that Abby has a fairly small tv that we heaved into the attic so we could hook directly to the antenna. That sure came in handy to adjust the direction of the antenna. The tv in the family room is hooked up so we can watch the broadcast stations in the one room. I really need to get the rest of them hooked up.
Tonight will either bring around a lot of doing nothing or maybe I'll hang my mirrored coat rack. Could be meat, could be cake. Could be meat-cake. One never knows.......
