John's Random Semi-Conscious Thoughts

Right now this will be a blog of the trials and tribulations of getting a house built. Also, there may be the occasional ramblings from the goings-on within my head.

More stuff

DrywallGuys showed up first thing yesterday and had more than a third of the entire job done by quitting time last night. They are hoping to be done by eod tomorrow and the mudder should be working early next week. HeatingCompany is going to loan (rent?) us a furnace to use to get the house up to temperature so the mud can dry instead of freeze. The bottles of water in the basement are still frozen so I'm guessing it is pretty cold down there.

I believe we are still on track to be painting at the end of next week. Probably that weekend.

Heard that WellDiggerGuy is waiting for the weather to warm up a bit to drill the well. Apparently their equipment doesn't like to run in sub-zero temperatures.

Speaking of sub-zero, ClassicCar registered -16 degrees on my way to work yesterday. Yikes that is cold!

BrickLayerGuy is also waiting for the weather to warm up just a bit before starting the job.

I heard that LumberCompany only had two deliveries yesterday. I guess the harsh weather has slowed everyone down.

I know I promised pictures and will have some soon. I want to have a before and an after of the drywall. We'll see how that turns out.

Survivor tonight. Be there or be square! Don't forget the finale is this coming Sunday. Final TAR is next week Tuesday.
